Thanks Gail! It was a wild and crazy week-end for me in Boston! We arrived in time for Ice Chips at 1:00pm and as I walked into the building I instantly
recognized the music...it was Jeff Buttle's Canned Heat music...then I saw him warming up on the ice, along with Alissa Czisny...and quite a few other
skaters! The Skating Club of Boston put on a wonderful show, from the beginners to the more advanced, and even some adult skaters did routines and group
#'s. The little kids are so darn cute!!!! It was Mardi Gras themed, with some Wild West thrown in!! I believe there's a more detailed review over on
FSU. Jeff and Alissa did two numbers each. Jeff did both his SOI numbers, but in reverse order, closing the show with Canned Heat! It was such a treat to see
him again, before he heads back to Canada for SOI!!! Alissa skated to Man of La Mancha and Bridge Over Trouble Waters, she did have one fall, but got right
back up quickly! This was the first time for me to see her skate live, she is just beautiful. Lovely programs! Emily Hughes only skated one program it was to
that song "One"...the same one Jamie and David used in SOI a couple years ago!!! Jason Wong skated to "Falling Slowly" which reminded me of
Tanith & Ben!! I loved Stephen Carriere's program too, I know the music...I just can't think of it right now!! There were some very talented Novice
& Junior medalists also.
So after Ice Chips we walked out side to find the Harvard baseball team playing Cornell...we saw Harvard smack a 2 run homer! If the weather had been better we would have stayed a bit for the game, but is was cold, windy and raining!!! So we checked into our hotel and then made our way over to Boston's North End for a fabulous Italian dinner at a place called "Mother Anna's" then we walked from there to the Theater District...it wasn't raining, but it was soooo windy and cold, anyway we found our way over to where the Blue Man Group was playing and caught the 8:00pm show!! They were just amazing!!! We had seen them a few years ago in Vegas, so it was nice to get the chance to see them again!! Sunday was a much nicer day in terms of the weather! Sunny, a little warmer and nice for walking around. We headed for Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. We did the shops and had lunch before heading to the Bank North Garden for SOI!!! It was another amazing show! I posted about it over at the SOI board. I was really impressed with Evan's performance, which btw is on youtube already...someone who was at the show taped it, but I loved being able to see his Worlds LP live!!! I'm soooo happy he did that and not his hip hop exhibition number!!!! It was wonderful...as was Todd when he came out after and congratulated Evan on his win!!! Todd did have a bobble at the end of his first number, on the scratchspin.. he scared me there for a moment I thought he was going to fall, but he saved it!!! He looks great and is still skating strong!! His barrel rolls in his 2nd number were awesome! Todd's Irish Jig was an intro for D/L...(.usually that's for Jeff Buttle) but it still worked...although it's hard to say D/L's names with an Irish accent...lol.. Sasha skipped "Don't Stop The Music" today, but did Moonlight Sonata and all group and transitions! She did have a bobble on some spins and a hand down on the jump, she may have some kind of injury or is not feeling too well. Hopefully she can rest soon. It was nice to see Tanith & Ben and Kimmie!!! The finale always comes way too soon for me! Now the long wait begins for next year!!!!

Thanks for the review Deb.... glad you were able to see the show a few times!! I was really bummed about missing Bridgeport.... would've loved to have seen
Evan's LP.. as well as Tanith & Ben, and Kimmie! Todd seems to be skating better this year then he has in a few years, which is great to see!!! Sorry
you didn't get to see both of Sasha's programs... I forgot to mention it, but in East Rutherford, mom and I noticed she had one of her legs wrapped in
an ace bandage (she did skate both programs though)... up around the thigh, so she may have some sort of injury going on. I agree... the finale comes too
fast.. and goes by too fast!!!! Don't want it to end!!! It really was a great show this year!!

for the reports from both weekend shows, Deb! What a weekend! Loved your little tidbits (and bits).
BTW, there's a weekend show coming up in our area (about 45 to 60 minutes away) at Ice Works in Aston, PA. It will be on Sunday, April 25 (we can't make it for the Friday or Saturday show), and will showcase Tanith & Ben & dance bronze medalists Kim Navarro & Brent Bommentre (Brent is from
Willow Grove, PA in suburban Philly), another team we really admire! This is the rink where Tanith & Ben train. I'm not sure if Kim & Brent train
at Ice Works, but it will be great to see them again (We saw them skate in a show at University of Delaware last year). I think Elvis trained at Ice Works a few years back, so this is a rink that
has had some elite talent! Anyway, we ordered tickets for this show ($25.00 apiece) and will pick them up at w/c.
